A publishing leader whose work has appeared in publications such as Jewish Action Magazine and The Jewish Week, Morton Landowne serves as the executive director of Nextbook, Inc., and Nextbook Press and has published a diverse range of Jewish historical and cultural books. Morton Landowne also heads Tablet Magazine, which he founded in 2010, and runs podcasts such as Vox Tablet and Unorthodox.
Previously, Mr. Landowne spent over two decades as a sales manager with Plaza Packaging Corporation. Prior to joining Plaza Packaging Corporation, he worked in sales with J. Landowne Co., Inc., a role in which he assisted with the acquisition of the Display Box Company. He holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in English from Yeshiva College.
Throughout his career, Mr. Landowne has served on the board for organizations such as the American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro, the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, and Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. In his leisure time, he enjoys attending local cultural events in Manhattan, including ballet, theater, and the visual arts.
